Hey There, How's it Going?
Hey there, how's it going?
I hate to admit it but I really don't get how to use unique visitor and page view data, Google Analytic numbers or Feedburner stats to get a good sense of how many people are subscribing to my blog.
Although I am curious, I am really not about the numbers. I am more interested in you, the people. We've got a nice little community going on here so I'd like to get to know a little about you.
I'll start by linking you to a little info about me here, here, and here. Now it's your turn. Tell me, and the rest of the world, a few things about yourself.
Here are a few ideas to get you going:
- Where are you from?
- What are you most proud of? Link to it if you can!
- Do you blog? If so, include your website address so we can check you out!
Share some tasty little tidbit about yourself. If you're not ready to leave your mark, simply take a few minutes to read the comments from others or find your way around the blog. No matter what you choose to do, thanks for visiting and for being part of the community in your own way.
I'm glad you are here.

I know you know who I am, but in for your readers I will add that I am an HR Technology guy based out of Rochester, NY. I blog at www.steveboese.squarespace.com, where I cover HR Tech topics, teaching, and barbecue.
I am pretty proud of the HR Happy Hour shows that Shauna Moerke and I do on Blog Talk Radio, you can check those out here - http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Steve-Boese.
Thanks Lisa and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the invitation to share information.
Yes, I blog too, but am new to it and have no idea about the numbers. And, even if I did, I'd be like you-- wanting to get to the "people" side of it anyhow.
I'm a lifelong Midwesterner and have built a career in the "people" space-- HR, Training, Organizational Development. My proudest professional accomplishments are centered on things that aren't necessarily visible to others-- helping a leader who's struggling with a "blind spot" or coaching non-training professionals on how to make presentations. Seemingly small stuff to the outside world, but huge to the individuals dealing with the challenge.
I invite you to weigh in on "mastering the people equation" at www.jennifervmiller.com. You'd probably like it there.
Thanks again,
Jennifer V. Miller

My wife. She is simply amazing. My blog is another growing thing that I really take a lot of pride in.
http://upstarthr.com is mine. A lot of people are now reading UpstartHR (I CAN read the numbers, Lisa). :-) I can't wait to put out my new video. It should get some laughs and stimulate some thoughts. Maybe even "HR Thoughts!" :-)
I'm an organizational scientist, specifically trained in industrial/organizational psychology (no Ph.D., yet). I get my jollies by finding organizations with problems and using the best science to try to fix those problems.
I just moved to the Milwaukee area, I spent the past few years in the Chicago suburbs, but originally hail from Deep South Texas.
I have a blog (its pretty decent, if i do say so myself. Check it out http://deltaorg.wordpress.com/
Very nice blog Jennifer, I didn' thave it in my Google Reader but do now - along with the newly added blogs by Chris and George. George, I see you are on Twitter, what's you user name there?
Ben, oh Ben, I've had your blog in my reader since the get go - you can be my new numbers guy. What is one key number I should pay attention too?
As for me, I'm a former HR pro who moved over to the "dark side" a few years ago to become an Executive Recruiter. :) I quickly found that working solely in the recruiting space - while fun and challenging - didn't hit all the buttons for me, so I added an Executive Coaching certification and have begun to work more and more with my clients all across the "talent" space. My Twitter bio (@CincyRecruiter) states that I'm a consistently curious Consultant and Consumer of vast quantities of information in the areas of Recruiting, Human Resources, Talent Development, Employment Branding, Employee Engagement, Company Culture & Social Media/Social Networking. I think that about covers my interests - for now!
I'm relatively new to the blogging world, having started with www.FistfulofTalent.com in March 2008 and my own blog - www.cincyrecruiter.com in October 2008 and I'm really thankful for bloggers such as yourself who have challenged me, taught me and welcomed me during that time!
This is an inspired post. I loved reading about everyone who is reading you. :)
I'm Kelly Mitton from Buffalo, NY. I graduated in December and am currently working in corporate HR at a large company trying to find my place and where I want my career path to lead me.
I have no idea about the numbers. Good thing we have Ben Eubanks around.
I don't write a BLOG yet, I'm in the planning stage but to be honest finding a new position is my main focus these days. Well that and some HR Consulting to keep the bills paid and some cha-ching in my purse! My main area of specialty is anything it takes to attract, recruit, and retain top talent to an organization. I'm looking for a business development opportunity in any industry that markets their products or services to Human Resources. The job search is a little SLOWER than I'd like but I've met some fascinating people in the process so I'm considering it a blessing.
I love the human(ness) or your blog. You're so wonderful to follow on Twitter, I've learned a great deal from you already and to top it off you are so sincere and real. That speaks volumes.
Thank you again, Lisa, for taking the time to ask "How's it Going?"
Anyhoodle, my name is Sakib Khan. I am currenltly a full-time graduate student in Auckland, NZ. I like to describe myself as a hardcore HR guy, though I have no idea what I mean by that. May be I am passionate about HR? Yes, that I am.
With that being said, I have recently published my blog, www.sakibkhan.com to share my HR awesomeness with others and to be part of this lovely little community that Lisa was talking about. I welcome you to my blog. Please let me know what you think!
And before I leave, although I am a number guy Lisa, unfortunately my blog is yet to generate any significant 'number' lol.
