School starts in a little over a week.

The kid is so excited and can't wait to get started.

The kid's teacher  wrote her a welcome note last week and guess what guys . . . she has a blog! She will use it to keep parents updated on happenings in the classroom.

My daughter starts school next week as well and I'm finding it hard to be excited. It seems like the whole school is run like a really bad HR department. We didn't find out morning or afternoon kindergarten until August. We don't get our "supply" lists until tomorrow--school starts Tuesday. Can the supply list for kindergarten be so complex and changeable that they couldn't get it together until 5 days before school starts? Plus, we have to send a snack. For heaven's sake, kindergarten is 2.5 hours long. Can we not go that long without eating?

Sorry. I'm a bit crabby.
